The Mission Study Committee was formed, early this year and held it’s first meeting in March 2007, and met regularly during the year..  The committee is made up of Jeff Sapper, Ted Forbes, Ann Croft, Bev Hiller, Scott Cheek, Doris Spenser and James Graves.  This committee is the first step in process of finding a new Pastor.   The committee gathered information from the congregation, by utilizing surveys and by having some informal meetings with members of the congregation.  After gathering this information, the group began the process of writing their report.   After a lot of hard work and a lot of prayers, the committee finished it’s report and presented it to Session at their November meeting.  The Session approved the report unanimously.  The report was then sent to the Presbytery’s Committee On Mission, for approval.  The COM approved the report, which cleared the way for Doe Run to start working on forming their Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC).    Click Here To View The Committee's Report   Doe Run’s Nominating Committee is currently meeting and working to put together nominees to be on the PNC.  The hope is that the nominees will be selected prior to the end of December, so they can be presented to the congregation at a special Congregational Meeting on January 6th.  At that time, the congregation will be allowed to nominate people from the floor, then a vote will be held to elect our PNC   If you have any questions, or if you are interested in being considered for the PNC, please feel free to contact either Rev Dickey ( adickey543@comcast.net ) or Jeff Sapper ( jeffsapper@msn.com )
